Have you ever been to a circus? Possibly you have been to a church service that was more like a circus than like a church service. In this series, we are going to explore a prophetic word the Lord gave to Marty about the body of Christ (THE CHURCH) and how it sometimes resembles that of a circus. Lion tamers, bearded ladies, and clowns can always be found in a circus and often found in churches. But there is a balance to our Christian lifestyle and walk with the Lord and that wonderful balance can only be embraced as we walk in the light of God's Word. So let's start our journey in this series to learn about THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH.

What if the body of Christ has looked like a CIRCUS for some time now? Animals large and small, even a serpent and scorpion section for viewing the reptiles and insects, professional lion tamers holding a whip instead of a sword, bearded ladies that don't know their gender or their identity in Christ, strong men that have God’s people in a grip through the hand of religion, and last but not least, the clowns. The clowns are those leaders that try to steal the show with their funny antics and pride; endeavoring to make all eyes set on them. Clowns are entertainers. Clowns are for children, spiritual children. No one, and I mean no one has ever grown up following clowns. But here you are, the ones that walk the high wire. The most dangerous act of all. The concentration and focus on the job at hand are like no other. Walking a thin wire, staying balanced. Not getting too far one way or the other. But walking high above all the circus, walking in a place far above all the distractions below.
