After arriving in Rago Ragla's fight room, I managed to steal something called a "Frog Badge" which turns out to be amazingly awesome. I decide to make an executive decision to ditch the place and get everything upgraded/in order before I go up against Rago Ragla since there are no save points inside the Abyss.
The fight with "Raguragula" starts at around 23:00 minutes
At around 50 minutes, I just say "screw it" and head towards the end area save in Malduke, swearing the entire way.
