After their plane crashed and their mother died, four children have been rescued from the Amazon jungle, where they had lived for 40 days.

The rescue mission spanned about 300 square kilometres and was led by more than 100 soldiers, with 200 Indigenous volunteers also involved.

Mike Armstrong reports on the harrowing details about what the siblings endured, how they're doing now, who is still missing, and the honour given to the commander of the rescue operation.
