SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Chaos erupted on Monday afternoon when multiple 911 calls flooded in at approximately 1:22 P.M., reporting a shooting in the 800 block of Lampasas Ave. Authorities swiftly responded to the distress calls, rushing to the scene to provide assistance.

According to initial reports, one distressed caller described a victim lying motionless in a field at the intersection of Lampasas and Beaumont, having sustained a gunshot wound (GSW) to the neck. Another caller reported another victim down inside a neighboring apartment, suffering from a GSW to the chest.

In a brief but alarming update, the Sacramento Police Department took to Twitter to confirm their presence at the scene of the shooting. "SPD is on the scene of a shooting in the 800 block of Lampasas Ave. Two victims have been located with serious injuries," the tweet read.
