Maverick Party self-professes as Western Canada's Regional Party, ready, willing and able to champion Western and Northern Canada. In spite of that, a By-Election is being held in Portage-Lisgar, Manitoba to elect a new Member of Canada's Parliament.

Maverick Party is not fielding a candidate in its own backyard nor has Maverick Party shown any interest in commenting on the upcoming By-Election in social media.

Perhaps, more alarming, after 22 full months as a registered political party in the eyes of Elections Canada, Maverick Party has exactly One (1) Electoral District Association in Manitoba and a grand total of Sixteen (16) others throughout the remainder of Western Canada and the North.

Looking for a simple answer to a simple question.

Should failure be rewarded? Imagine coming home from school after two years of study and proudly showing to those who contributed to your education that you received a grade of 16% on today's exam.

That analogy represents Maverick Party's success in the West. There are 107 Western and Northern ridings that Maverick purports to represent as a Regional Party. There are Maverick Electoral Districts in just Seventeen (17) of them.

The problem is either the message or the messenger. Either Maverick is sending a message to voters that is not resonating with the electorate or alternatively, Maverick Leadership is not delivering the Maverick message in an appropriate manner.

In Maverick's case, is it perhaps both?

Someone needs to be doing something about this. Leadership bears the burden of responsibility and accountability.
