Trump escalates attacks on criminal case as history-making court appearance approaches

Donald Trump faces numerous felony charges alleging the illegal hoarding of classified information.

Trump is scheduled to appear before a judge in Miami on Tuesday afternoon, marking his second court appearance within a few months on criminal charges, the Associated Press reported.

In contrast to the New York case, which some legal analysts dismissed as relatively insignificant, this first prosecution by the Justice Department against a former president revolves around actions that prosecutors claim endangered national security.
