Geoff is on a rant. Just did some very basic maths on this new scheme.
The 2023 London Scrappage Scheme and ULEZ Expansion is another environmental disaster

He plans to contribute £2k or £5k to the purchase of a new car.
£110m divided by £5k gives us 22,000 new cars.

22,000 new small cars like a Citroen C1 will produce 132,000 tons of C02 just from manufacture.
22,000 new medium cars like a Mondeo will produce 374,000 tons of C02 just from manufacture.
22,000 new large hybrid cars like Skoda Kodiaq will produce 777,000 tons of C02 just from manufacture.

Brilliant scheme. Thumbs up for the environment.
