I give my best advice for any teenager who wants to succeed in any creative job (including YouTube). My advice is based on my experiences and how I've managed to succeed and grow a big following on social media (YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram) at the age of 15. A lot of the tips & tricks I give are things you've probably heard before; cliche advice. But don't ignore what I have to say because your favorite YouTubers has already told you the same things in their own videos. They probably have mentioned the same stuff I have because it actually works.

This video is to help you START not succeed. To succeed in any job/career you want to pursue, you have to put in hours upon hours of hard work. You have to be consistently working all the time in order to achieve great results, in this case, more subscribers and views on your YouTube channel.

Before you even start, you need video equipment (camera, microphone, etc..). There is a lot of preparation needed in video production and in video editing, there's no exception. You need to learn how to record, edit and export your YouTube videos properly. You need to learn how to light your videos, record good audio, speak properly, among other things. Money is not easy to come by so get a job or get your parents to pay for budget equipment.

You need to stay motivated, ALWAYS. There are a lot of disadvantages of having a YouTube channel and being so open on YouTube. When you exposing yourself to the internet, your privacy is open and you're open to hate, criticism, and support. You have to learn to take in all three of those things the same way. You may become overwhelmed by everything going on in the comment section but you'll hear a mouth full in your everyday life too.

In all honesty, it's hard to grow on YouTube when you have no experience at all. There are filmmakers who've dedicated the past decade to video editing and producing prior to being on YouTube, there are comedians who have surpassed 10,000 hours of work on their craft before they uploaded their first skit. The competition is tough and the platform is saturated, you have to be putting out content, striving to learn and be EVERYWHERE to establish a name for yourself.
