From Nutbush to Vegas

We start the week with a paean to artists who have left the stage literally with Tina Turner and Elvis with ZZ Top in the mix as well. So the Segue City Special rolls across the country and we roll around in the studio looking for songs to mix with. The looks to be a Seventies-style week as we're on a jag with a decade of really good music which now, more than ever, stands outs as real music as compared to what passes for music in this decade...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
