White Newborn Deer

This is a rare find especially if you find it on your own property. Taking away its cover, not knowing it was there, was something I was not happy about. At first I thought it was dead and I did not want to leave it for preying animals and birds. So by putting it in the box I thought I could more easily confirm visually if it was alive or dead. It was when I saw its nose move that I realized it was alive. It appears mama doe, which I never saw, was either foraging or possibly moving other young to another location. I would not be surprised if the mama doe was watching me the whole time.
