Let's Build a Brooder Before Chickens Arrive on the Homestead | Growing Food

Hello friends, This week we have new fluff balls arriving on the homestead and we need another Brooder Box before they arrive. Let's build one! We used an old pallet as out base and added some walls and a lid. Finally, chicks are here and warm and safe.

On Our Forest Homestead, we are building an off grid homestead from scratch in Nipissing Ontario, growing zone 4b. We will be building a house, and garden, shop/barn, and getting more animals. All while learning and growing along the way. Our goal is to grow an entire Christmas dinner, and as many other meals from scratch as possible, on our little piece of paradise. Come along.
