Mass Effect a compilation of greatness 1

Mass Effect 1 (ME1) is a “diamond in the rough.” Very Few come to the “epicness” of scale. It’s a fully-realized science fiction game that stands up to the Redwood Trees like unto Star Wars. The setting of the monumental Universe in which the game takes place is: Rich & Complex. The amount of depth and backstory the player can explore is immersive. And the beautiful thing is, the individual player doesn’t have to be “dumped” into the amount of “backstory-depth and details” with the consequence of not understanding nor enjoying the journey. You don’t have to read the thousands upon thousands of “Codex Entry” to understand what’s going on in the game’s plot. But, for fans like myself who love to read & immerse themselves into a Universe like unto Star Wars; the journey in itself is quite rewarding.

ME1 is an RPG game that is rare in today’s term. It’s not like your modern Final Fantasy (FF) games that has lost its flavor…If you don’t know what I’m speaking at –
Read Jim Sterling's review on FF XIII "which I wholeheartedly agree"

ME1 has sounds, colors, costumes, the rooms & characters are carefully tuned like a well violin. The ME Universe permeates in every scene. (Knights of the Old Republic Anyone?)
If the player has or enjoys KOTOR then, ME1 is a step up in terms of greatness. Even the game’s opening title crawl:
“This is the future and aliens are real—and you’re a space marine GO!”

And for me that’s enough...

Enjoy this Part 1 of my compilation of the greatness of ME1. I’ll be uploading more as I revisit this Universe.
