Bublegum Barbie and Daddy WarBux watch Mermaid Down for reasons completely unrelated to major upcoming releases. The only thing that could have saved this movie is an actual oil spill. While the mermaid effects were great, none of the characters felt developed and the attempted blend of genres left a tonal mess.
