Why You NEED to Be on Tik Tok in 2020!

Over the past 3 month's I have gained over 9,000 followers and over 1 million views on TikTok. Comparing these numbers to my other social media platforms, it blows them out of the water. In this video, I explain why you should be on TikTok as a content creator.

1. Organic Reach
If you have ZERO followers, there is still a good chance you will be discovered because of the explore (For You) page. TikTok splits up its feed into the following page and the For You page. This means there is a great chance that someone who is not following you will see your video (and possibly follow you). I was able to get a viral video when I had only 30 followers and roughly 20 posts.

2. Creating Content is EASY
On TikTok, no one expects you to be recording on a crazy camera or heavily edit your content. Almost everything on TikTok is recorded on a smartphone. What this means for you is that you're able to use old recorded footage from Instagram/Snapchat stories and create videos out of them. This also means you can edit directly from your phone.

3. International Reach
A LOT of people on TikTok are from across the world. Unlike a lot of social media platforms, the United States doesn't dominate it (just yet). I have seen my following grow in countries like Germany, the United Kingdom, and Italy!

4. Builds Brand Awareness!
Even if TikTok doesn't last, there is still time to make an impact and grow a following. Shawn Mendes and Jake Paul created careers out of their short-lived VIne accounts, you can do the same with TikTok.

5. You Can Be Yourself
Unlike social media platforms like Instagram, you don't have to glamorize your content. Authenticity is actually often rewarded on a platform like TikTok. There are a lot of kids who are looking to find content that they find relatable.
