PC gamers with an Epic Games Store account (it’s free) can now pick up Payday 2, the multiplayer PvE heist simulator from Overkill Software that originally launched in 2013. It’s available for free right now until June 15.

Payday 2 was the sequel to Overkill’s unexpectedly successful Payday: The Heist, which launched two years before. Payday 3 has been in development for sometime and was originally expected this year, but no launch date has been set.

The next free game is unknown, but will unlock next week. Sometimes Epic previews the free games coming down the chute, sometimes it doesn’t. The past four weeks have been mystery weeks.

The Epic Games Store free games are available to anyone who has an Epic Games Store account; they’ll be added to your library and launched from there. Epic has been giving away free games on a weekly basis, as an inducement to join the store (and play Epic’s own games, such as Fortnite), since it launched in December 2018.
