Shiratama Inari Daimyojin-Sekiseki Inari Daimyojin
The god sits behind the post office.
The approach to the shrine has probably been crushed by the housing area.
I was surprised to see that the well is still there.
There must be someone taking care of it. The precincts of the shrine have been purified.
Was this a mound of Minamoto no Yoshie's family members?
It is a wonder that the mound has become a sanctuary after 1,000 years.

When we visit shrines in Tokyo, we are often amazed at the sanctuaries that have been protected by the people.
Flood, fire, earthquake, war, and worship.
Small shrines, shrines perched on the rooftops of buildings, and shrines directly under expressways.
Sanctuaries that are close to people in any form, and the guardians who protect them.
I made this video to share these beautiful images with you!
The Japanese landscape and the Japanese people of the past remain in old photographs.
Some of the photos are around 100 years old, some are about 150 years old, and some are 85 years old.
Please feel the connection with the people of the past!

Akatonbo (The Red Dragonfly)
Lyrics by Rofu Miki, music by Kosaku Yamada

Akatombo in the evening glow
When was the last time you saw them

I picked mulberries from the mountain fields
I picked them in a little basket, but they were nothing but maboroshi

When I was fifteen, my elder sister married a bride.
And there was no more news from my hometown

Red dragonflies at sunset
They're perched on the end of a pole

My name is Mayu Noda.
I will introduce the charm of shrines around Tokyo, which I love.
Sometimes temples too.
