I highly recommend these Shimano Standard Zinc-coated Derailleur Cable Shift Cable(1.2x2100-mm) as they are a great replacement for your existing cables.
When paired with the correct housing, it can improve overall performance of your bike. The cables are easy to cut and do not unravel like cheaper cables often do.
It is an exact OEM replacement for Shimano Ultegra 6800 drivetrain at a great price. Unlike other cables, these come with end caps to secure the cable termination after trimming to size.
Although it is usually plenty slick for road applications, after using Jagwire cable sets on my MTB, it feels like it is not as "slick" as the Jagwire set.
For those using "brifters" and road components, these cables are still good and work great on a road bike. They come with end caps to keep the cables from fraying and is a sure bet if you do not want to pay for Jagwire.
The cables arrived on time and are of good quality with ample length. If you adjust your handle bars often, you may want to trim the cables a little longer.
Before installation, be sure to wipe the cables down with a good bicycle lubricant. After adjustment, the derailleurs work perfectly. Although the previous cable frayed at the shift lever after 2000 miles in a year, I still recommend these cables.
