Resident Evil 3,[n 1] called in Japan Biohazard RE:3 (バイオハザード RE:3 Baiohazādo Āru Ī Surī?), is a survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom. It is a recreation of Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, released in 1999, and the plot follows Jill Valentine trying to escape a biological incident caused by umbrella experiments while being hunted by an intelligent biological weapon known as Nemesis. It was released in April 2020 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in June 2022 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.[1] The game also has an online multiplayer mode known as Resident Evil: Resistance.

Resident Evil 3 was generally well received by critics, with praise directed towards its graphics, presentation and gameplay, although it was criticized for its short length, pacing and lack of elements from the original game. As of November 2021, the game has sold over 4.6 million copies worldwide.
