Alabama inmate Casey White, who escaped jail with help from alleged lover Vicky White, gets life

A convicted felon from Alabama who fled prison last year with the assistance of a jail official, who tragically took her own life to avoid arrest, has been sentenced to life imprisonment.

The defendant, Casey White, aged 39, appeared before a Lauderdale County courtroom on Thursday and pleaded guilty to escape, Fox News has reported.

In exchange for his guilty plea, the felony murder charge relating to Vicky White’s death was dismissed. Casey White accepted the maximum sentence of life without the possibility of parole.
