Lil Sodi is an American rapper/singer born and raised on the West Side of South Los Angeles (formerly known as South Central Los Angeles), in an area ruled by the Eight Tray Gangster Crips. Sodi rose to prominence after signing with 100 Entertainment, a record label created by Bigfase 100 of Cedar Block Piru, a Compton, California-based street gang. Lil Sodi is named after his father, Big Sodi, a member of the Eight Tray Gangster Crips. Sodi began as a vocalist before becoming a rapper while detained in the California Division of Juvenile Justice, formerly the California Youth Authority (CYA). Before signing with Corporate Thug Entertainment, which was founded by rapper Young Jeezy, he released two mixtapes on 100 Entertainment.Thisis50.com included "16 or better cypher" (L.A. addition) Dre Vishsis of Grape Street Watts Crips and Lil Benzo of Hat Gang Watts (crips), as well as Boobie Soprano of Gardena Shot Gun Crips and K-Boy of 48 Gangster Crips. Despite being a member of the Eight Tray Gangster Crips, Lil Sodi is recognized for working with blood rappers such as P-Smurf of Denver Lane Bloods, who made his debut on Spider Loc - Blutiful World (remix). He has also collaborated on tracks with Compton Menace (Fruit Town Piru) and Suga Buga from Weirdoz Bloods, who is best known for his work with Bloods & Crips, The Relativez, and the Damu Ridas.
