KONPA by Al’lkens Plancher

Writer, director, and producer Al’Ikens Plancher is a writer-director from Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

Throughout the years, he's worked various positions in television and film, using his income to produce and direct his own projects, resulting in winning an HBO Best Short Film award, and having a world premiere in competition at Tribeca Film Festival.

His live-action short film KONPA has been selected for the world premiere in competition at the prestigious OSCAR-qualifying Tribeca Festival. It's four screenings selling out in just thirty minutes.

Timothy Mark Davis is a producer, actor, director, and writer based in Fort Lauderdale, FL. He is the founder of Finicky Pictures, a film company that producers independent short and feature films and Stone Circle Media, a video production company specializing in media for health and human service organizations. He is also the Producing Artistic Director for New City Players, a professional theatre company based in Fort Lauderdale.

KONPA is a beautiful story that takes you deep into Haitian culture through Konpa, a dance music in Haiti.
