How Much Training Do I Need to Own a Firearm?
The answer is - whatever it takes to feel safe, comfortable, and confident with your gun.
The starting points we recommend are getting familiar with:
* how to handle it (unloaded, initially)
* how to grip it
* how to operate it
* dry fire
Next, go to the range or your local gun store for an hour of instruction to get familiar with how it feels to shoot your gun in a safe and structured environment.
Ultimately, you determine when you're ready, but in many cases, you can get very familiar with your gun in as little as a day.
