The Pentagon says it's sending $2.1 billion in air defense systems and ammunition to Ukraine, including funds to purchase Hawk missile launchers as well as Patriot air defense missiles.
A statement released Friday says the Ukraine Assistance Initiative is funding the package. The Pentagon says that initiative gives it the authority to work with industry partners and plans to provide more support for Ukraine down the line.
