Colombo police fire tear gas at student protest

Riot police responded with water canons and tear gas when Sri Lankan students marched on the outskirts of the capital Colombo on Wednesday (June 7) – Madushan Chandrajith, the convenor of the Inter University Students Union, says budget cuts in education and health have resulted in issues at universities.
