Meet Opal E Cintron-Heese!
Opal calls herself a “modern witch” of sorts as she mixes up “brews” and writes recipes that aim to find relief for physical and mental suffering through plants. A graduate of the Edinboro University of PA and The Southwest Institute of the Healing Arts, not only is she an Applied Media Artist but, in her “second life,” is a Certified Clinical Aromatherapist, Wise Women Herbalist, Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher & Meditation Guide, and more.

She is the founder of Opal’s Apothercarium, a Clinical Aromatherapy, Plant Medicine, and Holistic Wellness small business. Clientele suffers from a large range of human afflictions, most of which can be supported by plants and lifestyle changes. She has had the pleasure of creating herbal preparations for clients in Arizona, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Michigan over the last 7 years.

Opal’s passion for Herbs and Aromatherapy continues to broaden as she began to grow her own herbs and Cannabis Medicine organically at her home in Michigan over the last few years. She is fueled by her need to alleviate her own personal suffering and pain caused by multiple chronic health issues. Her ambition is to be able to share with others as she learns so that they may benefit from her many hours of study, trial, and error.

Currently, she is applying her knowledge of plant terpenes and the medicinal actions of herbs to her herbal preparations in Cannabis medicine. The goal of most of her concoctions is to help with sleep, pain, muscle spasms, anxiety, etc. By allowing herbs and cannabis plants to synergize with one another in their actions, the remedies are more effective. Opal very much enjoys sharing information about how anyone can understand and create plant medicines for themselves. She also feels honored to have the ability to guide those who are just entering the Cannabis medicine world in their states. “It was hard finding strains that did what I needed them to in the beginning”, she remembers. With a guide, it will be easier to navigate strains, forms of intake, and dosage and find relief for others, she hopes.
