Increase and Multiply Your Mercy: Collect Reflection for Proper 4 | #anglican #prayer #bcp2019

The Collect of the Day that is used from May 29-June 4 is not always used on the Sunday during that time. It is often skipped because Pentecost or Trinity Sunday can occur then. However, Father Jeremiah still gives a reflection on it and what it means for us to ask God to increase his mercy toward us.

The text of the collect is:
O God, the protector of all those who trust in you, without whom nothing is strong, nothing is holy: Increase and multiply upon us your mercy, that, with you as our ruler and guide, we may so pass through things temporal that we lose not the things eternal; grant this, heavenly Father, for the sake of your Son Jesus Christ, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever. Amen.
