Biden Calls Sunak 'Mr President' During White House Meeting

President Joe Biden mistakenly referred to UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak as “Mr. President” during the pair’s meeting at the White House on June 8. He then joked that he’d “demoted” his British counterpart. After the meeting, Sunak said he and Biden had signed “a new economic partnership for a new age.” The so-called “Atlantic Declaration” will help combat threats to supply chains, harness the technologies of the future, and grow the UK and US economies, the UK government said.
