As someone who isnt an avid cyclist, I was pleasantly surprised by the smooth ride of the Schwinn Hinge Adult Folding Bike right out of the box.
However, upon closer inspection, I noticed that the brakes were hitting the wheel and the guards made contact with something, so I had to remove them.
While the folding mechanism was relatively easy to use, getting the bike into the carrying bag was a bit of a chore.
After some advice from other users, I took the bike to a local bike shop to get it set up properly, which made a huge difference in the quality of the ride.
But, as I added up the additional expenses needed for the bike to be fully functional and legal in my area, such as lights, a bell, a lock, and better tires and seat, I realized that the initial cost of the bike wasnt as economical as I had thought.
Despite these added expenses, I am still pleased with the bikes performance and have received many compliments from other cyclists, even those riding more expensive Dahon bikes.
