A while back, pro wrestler and action star John Cena got roasted in the media when he apologized to his Chinese fans for publicly referring to Taiwan as a country. But the thing is, Cena was right. Though the island of Taiwan is self-governing, it is not, legally and constitutionally, an independent country.
