JLR ditches Land Rover name... What's in a name? A question of BRAND

The Land Rover Name, beloved by petrolheads since 1948 is no more! Or at least, it's due to be no more. Let's take a look at a Motor Trend article and discuss the dropping of the Land Rover name by Jaguar Land Rover Group as they focus their efforts on RANGE ROVER, DEFENDER and DISCOVERY. What do you think about this deletion of heritage, or is it just a harmless branding exercise? Please note, I'm not sure DEFENDER perfume is actually available, but if you wanted to buy some, have a word with yourself. If you can already buy DEFENDER perfume... face palm. Massive face palm.
