God Defeats Our Enemies, While We Rest

To quote one of my favorite animes, "Vinland Saga":

"You have no enemies."

At least, not amongst mankind.

Our enemies is the fallen world we live in, our own sin nature, and Satan. The only reason why we struggle against each other is because the devil corrupts the hearts of mankind and pushes us to fight one another - classic conquer and divide.

This verse reminds us to submit to God's authority when we try to battle our own giants, demons - things & situations we find unconqerable.

Most often we try to face our problems on our own, and don't even think to appeal to a higher power.

Meanwhile God is asking us to seek Him first and allow Him to take on the battle.

It's almost laughable the way this verse comes across because it's almost like God saying to us, "Take a seat, eat and enjoy, while I Defeat this for you."

I'm not saying to not be proactive with the problems in your lives, but I'm asking you to not leave God as an afterthought when bad things do come your way.
