I am really torn on the business model behind Kick. Obviously on paper everything sounds great but I can't sit back and advise you all to try it knowing the risks. What are the risk you may be asking? If you aren't an established streamer the risk isn't much, only the time you'd theoretically waste streaming on a platform that will inevitably shut down. Do I believe that will happen with the Kick streaming platform? Not necessarily no. I know it may seem like I am being hard on Kick but truthfully they have a lot of potential.

Twitch has gotten comfortable and has led to them putting greed over the content creators that make the platform great. I understand that there has to be a business behind it, but there has to be a common ground. 95/5 is way to high of a revenue split for it to logically stay in business, however I do not think it will fail the way mixer did. I have faith that Kick will realize what they are doing right and what they are doing wrong and will quickly fix what they are doing wrong before it is too late. I don't know why I have this faith, If I am just blinded by trainwreckstv like the rest of the kick community, or if I'm just an optimist.

But at the end of the day, I love Twitch and do not look down on them when a new competitor comes out like this. Twitch has revolutionized the streaming / gaming space and that is undeniable. They are not making the most of the platform they have built, nor are they treating the content creators fair, however you can't dismiss what they did for this industry.
