Enlightening Rio

What I'm going to show you in this video is just one of the many good things that D.João VI did for Rio and Brazil when he was here along with the portuguese court. And no, the enlightening in this case had nothing to do with electric lighting, it had to do with making Rio a more cultured city by bringing FRENCH artists over here. Remember when I repeatedly said that our view of the French has changed a lot along the centuries? Well, this was one of the changes, dare I say it, it was the starting point of anything french being seen as elegant and refined.
