Joran van der Sloot arrives at Peru's Air Force base Grupo 8

Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the 2005 disappearance of Alabama teenager Natalee Holloway, left Ancon 1 prison in Lima and arrived at Peru’s Air force base Grupo 8 Thursday.
The Dutch citizen is expected to board an FBI Gulfstream 550 executive jet used for foreign transfer of custody missions and travel to Alabama. He will stand trial in the US on extortion and fraud charges related to an alleged plot to extort Holloway’s family after her disappearance.
