Sparkling Wine from Luxembourg πΎπ±πΊ
When you think of European sparkling wines, Luxembourg probably isn't the first country that comes to mind. Nestled between France, Belgium, and Germany, this tiny nation is a mere two-hour drive from the Champagne wine region, sharing similar limestone-based soils. Luxembourg wines are a rare find due to their small-scale production.
The Bernard-Massard Selection, named after founder Jean-Bernard, is the most popular wine across the country.
This Chardonnay-based, traditional method sparkling wine boasts enticing aromas of pear, lemon, lime, and a hint of toastiness. It features fine bubbles and a vibrant palate with medium length. I would rate this an 85. With a $13 price tag, it's certainly a fantastic value.
