They DIED!! Learning from Death on the Homestead

There's so much joy and beauty on a homestead, but there's also a lot of loss and disappointment. We recently experienced some animal loss here. Some of our duck eggs had ducklings inside that stopped growing, so we removed them from the incubator and opened up the eggs to investigate. Even this sad situation can be used as a learning opportunity for the children. I believe that homeschooling on the homestead is just a natural fit and this is one of the reasons why. #homeschooling #largefamily
