I recently purchased the Seachoice Wood Oar and I have to say, it has been a great addition to my boating equipment. Despite the paddle being 3/4 inch thick, I appreciate that it adds a heftiness to the overall feel of the oar.
One day, while my trolling motor batteries had depleted, this oar saved the day and helped me get back to the dock. For the price, this oar is an amazing deal.
The New Zealand Pine construction is well-crafted and gives off the impression of durability. Although the shaft could be heavier to fit the sleeve better, that is a minor issue compared to the other benefits of the oar.
I do agree that the paddle blade could be thinner on the edges, but it still functions well in moving water. The comfort grip is a great feature that allows for extended usage and a better grip when wet.
I appreciate the clear finish on the oar, it gives off a sleek look and makes it stand out amongst other oars I have seen. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of the Seachoice Wood Oar.
Despite some minor issues, it has been a great tool to have on my boat and I would recommend it to others.
