Chinook salmon have long been known for being one of the most prized trophies for anglers in the Northwest. When you take fishing for salmon from the big tributaries like the Columbia River and move it to the small coastal streams of Washington & Oregon, its a true game changer!

These fish are big, aggressive, and FRESH right out of the pacific ocean. The 2013 fall Chinook Salmon run will probably be one that goes down in history! The addicts were right there in the middle of it all getting in on the action! Traveling from Seattle to Southern Oregon, chasing these fish and man was it a blast!

We targeted these salmon with a variety of techniques, but this video showcases some action using a technique we all know as float fishing. We were using either Joel's Salmon Jigs or Gavin Hall's special cured eggs and sand shrimp. Using a sliding float with an inline or Dave's Tangle Free weight, suspending the bait just off the bottom, weather it was bait or jigs these Salmon were hungry!
