Fatal Shooting at Richmond High School Graduation Ceremony Leaves Two Dead

A shooting during a high school graduation ceremony at the Atria Theater in Richmond, Virginia, has resulted in the deaths of two individuals and injuries to five others. Students attending the Huguenot High School graduation ceremony were sent fleeing for safety as the shooting occurred outside the venue.

One of the victims was an 18-year-old graduate, and the other was his 36-year-old father. A 19-year-old suspect, believed to have known at least one of the victims, has been taken into custody. Classes have been canceled, and a postponed graduation ceremony is scheduled for a later date.
