How To Fish Roe For Steelhead, Trout, or Salmon Fishing

Before using, fresh roe is often cured first to extend the life and make it much easier to fish. Roe is cut into small pieces before being tied onto the hook. Amount of eggs depends on the species your targeting with the roe. For salmon steelhead, and trout fishing in rivers, roe or fishing eggs from chinook, coho, steelhead and chum is usually used.
