Gunman who opened fire after Virginia high school graduation targeted graduate

According to the police, a shooting incident occurred in Richmond, Virginia, just moments after a high school graduation ceremony.

The incident was a result of a long-standing dispute between a gunman and an 18-year-old graduate, as stated on Wednesday.

The gunfire claimed the lives of Shawn Jackson, the 18-year-old graduate, and his father, Lorenzo Smith, aged 36, the Associated Press reported.

The tragic event unfolded outside the Altria Theater, located in the state capital, causing panic among the attendees.
