The Fellowship of Guelphissauga: Bike Pride Month & the Mayor's Surplus Garage Sale | June 2023

The Fellowship of Guelphissauga continues with the start of Bike Pride Month and Mayor Cam Guthrie having a garage sale. Celebrating the diverse rainbow of cyclists and cycling culture, Bike Pride launched this month with family friendly events and DEI programming(1). Meanwhile in the Council of Elders chambers, the Property Developer Orcs at Reid Heritage Properties & Gemini Homes proposed building more townhouses and apartment buildings in the Shire(2). Whereas on a burning hot driveway, the Mayor hosted his own garage sale, motivated by the Shire's $13.7 million Surplus Allocation(3). Can Bike Pride Month unify the Shire's cyclists and will the Mayor cash-in at his garage sale?
