Dr. Tim Clinton interviewed James Spencer, Ph.D., to discuss his new book, Christian Resistance: How to Defy the World and Follow Jesus. Dr. Clinton opened the program talked about the state of our culture and what has occurred over the last few years. James explained that in the midst of our culture and, “... in times of turmoil, it can wake us up to this notion that wow, the world is not really on our side. The world is trying to make us disciples of the world. They want us to be disciples of the economy. They want us to be disciples of the government and they want us to learn to live according to the rules that those systems really set up for us. Christian resistance is the term that I use to help Christians understand that we have to retain our shape in a world that is exerting pressures on us to form us into something other than Christ.”
