HUGE Trout Fishing. We Caught A FREAK! (NEW PB)

Today we're catching some huge trout! We're so excited to finally bring you this 3 part series called The Hunt. We traveled to Central Oregon in search of record lake trout on some of the most beautiful lakes in the world! Oregon’s state record for lake trout is 40.5 pounds, caught in Central Oregon at Odell Lake in the 1980s.

Mackinaw Lake Trout prefer deep cold lakes with lots of food to make them big and fat. A lot of these lakes in Washington and Oregon have large populations of Kokanee, a perfect food source for these trout. Only a few Oregon lakes have been planted with these huge trout and today we caught one of the freaks!
