A scarce antique artifact of Jewish-American history came upon us: This poster advertises Elvings Metropolitan Theater in Newark New Jersey which operated between 1921 and the mid forties and catered to Yiddish-speaking people of the Newark area. The poster was in poor condition with paper missing, Hebrew characters missing. Se the formidable restoration project unfold in this 30 minute video.
