Cain and Abel:

Adam had intercourse with his wife and she became pregnant.

She gave birth to a child and named him Abel.

When they grew up, Cain farmed while Abel became a shepherd.

One day Cain brought the harvest of his field to God.

Abel brought the firstborn of his flock to the Lord.

Abel sacrificed it to God.

God accepted Abel's sacrifice but rejected Cain's offering.

Cain became very angry.

God asked why he was angry.

Why is your face ugly?

If you have done a good deed, you will smile, but if you have done a bad deed, you will be hanging sin at the door. If you do not control your anger, it will overcome you.

Cain said to his brother Abel, let's go to the fields. When they reached the fields, Cain attacked Abel and killed him.

God asked Cain where is your brother Abel?

Cain replied, "I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?"

God asked why did you do this?

Your brother's blood calls to me from the ground.

Now cursed by the earth.

You will roam the earth restlessly.

Cain said, My punishment is beyond my endurance.

If I walk around the earth, someone will find me and kill me.

God put a mark on Cain so that no one would kill him.
