Labeling and Mislabeling is a very dangerous habit, and it's a cognitive distortion many people have without knowing. Choose not to label, and instead be kind to yourself.

Cognitive Distortions rob from authentic, enjoyable moments and from growing into your best self. It can make it hard to believe anything positive about you or anyone you love. Here’s a definition of Labeling and Mislabeling, what you can do to stop it, change it and move on.

My purpose on earth is to help make it a better place, in my small way. How better to do that than to be my best and strongest, and help others be theirs.

In this workbook and video series, you will explore cognitive distortions: what they are, and what to do to fix them. Everything you need to reframe your negative thoughts are already inside you; it's just a matter of being aware that you are thinking about them and using strategies to fix them.

In this resource, you will become aware of the cognitive distortions that people develop and their impact on thinking and the self. In each activity, you'll read the definition, a short scenario illustrating the distortion, and the impact on the self, and on thinking. There are also a few recommended strategies you can utilize to reframe your distortions. You will work on cultivating your inner strength, examining your mindset, staying positive, and focusing on self-care, peace, and love. You’ll see miracles because you’ll start to look for them. You will think success, behave your way to success, and change your thoughts so you can change your life!

Complete one page per day and allow yourself the time to reflect on whether and or how each distortion may or may not impact your life. You may find that you engage in one or two distortions all the time and maybe other distortions none of the time. Again, the objective is to be aware of your thoughts impact on your life and reframe your thinking as necessary.

Keep in mind it is important to celebrate the little changes you will begin to see. Always be kind to yourself and know you are not alone in this challenge to be a better version of yourself.
