Welcome to my fan edit of the opening scene of the 1982 classic, "The Thing." This scene is inspired by the opening sequence of the 1951 classic, "The Thing From Another World", which obviously inspired The John Carpenter version. I've recreated the scene using the same graphic and color scheme as the original, and I've included the original audio track so that you can experience the opening scene the way it was meant to be seen.
