Why you might ask? I'm glad you did. Acrylic paint pouring relies on the interaction between paints. Because acrylic pouting paints are relatively thick (compared to water) the heaver paints will sink in your paint pour while the lighter paints will rise up.

This interaction with paints is what makes the magic with acrylic pouring. Understanding paint densities can help you achieve better cells, create less muddy colors, help create pearl cells, Sheleeart blooms, cloud pours, and many other acrylic paint pouring techniques.
