1998 Was the Best Year in Gaming - Luke's Game Room

Few Years can attest to being the greatest in gaming's history. 1998 makes a strong claim for that title. Boasting great games in long running series while simultaneiously launching new franchises and defining genres. All in one short year. There legitimately are 4-5 games that came out in 1998 that could be called the greatest game ever made. Ocarina of time, Final Fantasy Tacitcs, Xenogears, Resident Evil 2, and Metal Gear soild barely scratch the surface of the monumentus year of heavy hitters. Do you think there is a stronger year for gaming then 1998?
